Start Acceleration of the Space GPS Receiver

چکیده

The cold start of the space GPS receiver, i.e. without any information about receiver position, satellite constellation, and time, is complicated by a large Doppler shift navigation signal caused movement on Earth orbit. That increases five times search signals compared to standard receiver. paper investigates method acceleration time designed for pico- femto-satellites. proposed based combination parallel in frequency PRN codes serial code phase delay. It can shorten operating LEO orbit from 300 60 seconds while keeping simplicity FPGA processor low power consumption. developed algorithm was successfully implemented tested piNAV energy required obtaining position fix reduced 36 7.7 Joules. This improvement enables applications such determination smaller satellites like Pocket Cube or femto-satellites with lower budget than Satellite.
